Katie Weber started out her career life as a biologist. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in biology, she spent the next eight years as a lab technician in Eugene and Seattle. Katie realized over time that her true passion was deeply rooted in plants and gardens. In the summer of 2002, she enrolled in the Landscape Horticulture - Design Build program at South Seattle Community College. And after classes completed in the summer of 2003, she officially started Katie Weber Landscape Design.

"I have been a professional member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) since 2003. In 2018, I completed the rigorous process of certification by APLD and became a certified professional member (CPLD). I am also actively involved in Northwest Horticultural Society, Heronswood Garden, and The Hardy Plant Society of Oregon."
